Gurmat Education

Through this educational unit, Seva can be taught and explained to children of five years and above, providing them with a deeper understanding of the Divine. As a family, you can begin a year-long Seva project that could involve your neighbors and even a larger community, such as Gurmat and Panjabi schools which could showcase the ‘sevadars amongst them.’

Providing Support

There is plenty of time to relax and explore your spiritual Jeevan (life) during Khalsa Camp with something for everyone no matter where you are on your spiritual journey, through Khalsa Camp we try to provide an environment where the campers can have a shared and profound experience of Sikhi.

Khalsa Foundation is delighted to present Raising Spiritual Kids, our new book aimed at empowering young parents with advice and tips on how they can create an engaging Sikhi learning environment within their home.

We are often very proactive with our children’s school education but don’t you wish you could have that same approach for their Sikhi development? This book will support you in building a robust Sikhi learning programme within your home which can be embedded into your family routine. 35 years of experience in education has helped the authors enrich this gift to Sikh parents as they look to fulfil their service in Raising Spiritual Kids.

STEM Education

STEM Education, at its core, simply means educating students in four specific disciplines, namely, Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (collectively shortened as STEM). Instead of training students in any one of these domains, STEM combines all four in an interdisciplinary and applied approach, so as to better equip students to have a career and considering real-world applications.

Computing

Computing is part of everything we do from the cars we drive, to the movies we watch, to the ways businesses and governments deal with us. Understanding different dimensions of computing is part of the necessary skill set for an educated person in the 21st century.

Whether you want to be a scientist, develop the latest killer application, or just know what it really means when someone says “the computer made a mistake”, studying computing will provide you with valuable knowledge.

Maths

Mathematics students learn to think logically and to apply the principles they have learnt to the solution of a variety of different problems. This training is of great value as preparation for a wide range of degree courses and careers. A-Level Mathematics is a requirement for most degrees in Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Engineering and Medicine. Mathematics is most helpful, and may be required, for Economics and Business courses. A knowledge of statistics at A-Level is applicable to almost any course in the social sciences.

The life science pathway gives you knowledge and expertise in technical laboratory work, and has evolved to support the need for more specialists in this area. You’ll gain the numerical, analytical and communication skills that many key employers look out for, including the NHS, pharmaceutical, chemical and agrochemical industries, and government agencies like the Department of Health.

The Homework Club

Homework is a hot topic. It can be time-consuming for both students and teachers. Increasingly, there’s a divide between those who believe that homework plays an important part in learning and those who suggest the time would be better spent playing outdoors, with family and developing relationships.

Homework club is a safe, supportive and productive student meetup out of school hours to assist students in completing their homework. Homework clubs provide vital support for children who do not otherwise have the help that they need.

Gaming

Inspired by greater connectivity and product choice, this number is expanding. And so, too, are the demographics. It seems everybody, young and old, is engaged in play, from educational to social gaming and beyond.
